A Comfortable Place to Unwind
We stayed in a spacious room with two queen beds. The design was modern and understated, with clean lines, plenty of natural light and enough room to settle in comfortably. Most importantly, the room was exceptionally clean and well maintained.
The hotel has 257 rooms, including 25 suites. The team also shared details about the property’s renovated suites, which are worth considering for couples looking for additional space and a more elevated stay. Guests reserving eligible club-level rooms and suites can also enjoy access to the Regency Club.
Dinner with a View at Andares Lounge
One of the highlights of our stay was dinner at Andares Lounge. The restaurant has a sophisticated but relaxed atmosphere, complemented by views of the city and the surrounding Andares district. It is equally suited for dinner, cocktails or a casual evening of shared plates.
We began with guacamole prepared fresh beside our table. It was simple, flavorful and easily one of our favorites. We also ordered the tabla de carnes frías y quesos, a generous charcuterie board with an assortment of meats and cheeses that was perfect for sharing.
The alitas glaseadas arrived with a sweet and savory glaze, while the gringa de pastor al grill introduced a delicious and unexpected combination of flavors.
The most memorable dish was the costilla de res braseada. We were told its preparation begins eight hours before it reaches the table, and the time and care were evident. The beef was incredibly tender, rich and full of flavor. It was comforting while still feeling perfectly suited to the elevated atmosphere of the lounge.
The Regency Club Experience
We spent quite a bit of time at the Regency Club, especially in the mornings. Breakfast included eggs, chilaquiles, yogurt and other light selections, making it easy to begin the day at a relaxed pace.
The offerings changed throughout the day, with light snacks in the afternoon and more substantial dishes during the evening. One night included taquitos and guacamole, while another featured sandwiches and fajitas.
In the evening, guests could also prepare their own drinks, giving the lounge a relaxed and intimate feeling. It became a convenient place to stop between plans or spend a quiet moment together at the end of the day.
Regency Club access is included with eligible club-level rooms and suites, so couples interested in the experience should confirm access when reserving their stay.
A Restorative Couples Experience at Kinal Spa
Kinal Spa offered us the perfect opportunity to slow down and enjoy the experience together.
We began with the spa’s hydrotherapy circuit, moving through a sequence of heat, mist and contrasting temperatures. The experience included a sauna, mist room, cold shower, Jacuzzi and cold plunge. Each stage helped the body gradually release tension before our treatment.
We then enjoyed a couples massage in a quiet private setting. The spa felt peaceful and secluded from the energy of the surrounding district, with an atmosphere that encouraged us to fully disconnect.
For couples visiting Guadalajara, Kinal Spa is a worthwhile addition to the itinerary. The combination of hydrotherapy and a massage turns an ordinary afternoon into an experience that feels genuinely restorative.
Our Favorite Place to Slow Down
My favorite part of the hotel may have been the pool. Warm, quiet and surrounded by natural light, it felt removed from the movement of the city. The comfortable temperature made it inviting enough to stay and unwind instead of simply taking a quick swim.
The peaceful setting also brought a subtle resort-like quality to the experience. Spending an unhurried afternoon poolside offered a welcome contrast to the energy of exploring Guadalajara and became one of the simplest but most memorable parts of our stay.
Exploring Andares Together
Location is one of the hotel’s strongest advantages. Andares Mall, restaurants, boutiques and evening entertainment are just steps away, making it easy to create a full day without having to travel far.
Couples can spend the afternoon shopping or exploring the neighborhood, return to the hotel for a spa treatment or time by the pool, and end the evening with cocktails and shared plates overlooking the city.
It offers the energy and convenience of an urban hotel while still creating space for quieter moments together.
Final Thoughts
Hyatt Regency Andares Guadalajara feels polished without being overly formal. Its central location makes exploring the city effortless, while the warm pool, Regency Club, inviting dining spaces and Kinal Spa make staying at the hotel equally enjoyable.
